Dress Code

Dress up for the occasion

There's no strict dress code to attend the course, but for some enclosures, especially on event days, there may be some restrictions. As a general rule, smart dress is acceptable anywhere.

Smart dress is expected for major race days, though not compulsory. Suits and ties for gentlemen, dresses and hats for ladies all help to make the occasion special, especially if you're visiting the winners enclosure, restaurants or hospitality suites.

Premier Enclosure

We would ask Gentleman to wear a collared shirt, polo shirt or polo necked jumpers.  Many will wear jackets and ties, however these are not compulsory. Smart jeans are also permitted.

Please note that shorts, sports trainers, sportswear and flip flops are NOT permitted in this enclosure.

We would encourage Ladies to dress for a special occasion. Hats and fascinators are welcome but not essential.

Grandstand Enclosure

There is a relaxed dress code in our Grandstand Enclosure; however, football shirts and vests are not permitted.

Hospitality & Restaurants

Please refer to the Premier Enclosure guidance. If you have any specific requirements, please call us on 01372 477747 or email london.hospitality@thejockeyclub.co.uk

Should you be considering fancy dress, this is permitted in the Grandstand Enclosure ONLY, and should not be offensive.  If you are planning to wear fancy dress, please contact us in advance on 01372 464348, in order to avoid disappointment on the day.

In the event of one or all or your party being refused admission, no refund will be offered.
